Google is reportedly working on a feature that enables Android users to easily transfer an eSIM profile from one device to another. It’s expected to be available for Pixel phones and a handful of other smartphones that ship with Google Mobile Services.
Activate Your eSIM
You can activate your eSIM instantly by using a web-based activation tool or scanning a QR code. This is a great way to get set up quickly, and it’s also easier than dealing with a physical SIM card.
Some carriers support a rewritable eSIM, which means you can change carriers or switch numbers without worrying about losing the data on your eSIM. You’ll have to contact your carrier for more details, but it’s an easy process.
Another option is to use Apple’s eSIM Quick Transfer to move your existing cellular plan from your old phone to your new iPhone. This can be done if youג€™re logged in with the same Apple ID on both devices.
To transfer your cellular plan, go to Settings > Cellular (or Mobile Data). Select the eSIM you want to transfer and tap Transfer.
Alternatively, you can call your carrier and ask them to transfer your cellular plan to your new phone. This process can take a few minutes and you may be asked to enter a confirmation number.
